Right after dinner, I dropped by the Workers’ Party rally held in my neighbourhood. Before the residents of Hougang go to the polls this Saturday, many Singaporeans came by for a last rally. The atmosphere was electric as the party leaders took their turn to address the crowds.

Just as it started to drizzle, I received an umbrella from a stranger who insisted that I take it.

Last Saturday evening was time well spent. Met up with Nic after a long while and we went trudging through the grass to a nice little spot near the beach. We had to endure some mosquito bites, but looking back now, I can say that it was all worth it.

The difference between an amateur and a master is consistency. That shall be my mantra for the days ahead.

I had the great pleasure to cover Vertical Horizon’s concert last week. What an honour to meet them! They were the nicest dudes I ever met! During an interview, Matt repeatedly stated the importance of staying true to your craft, always staying humble and always being rooted. I will never forget this experience.

They were true rockstars who loved doing what they do. They stayed real.
